I thought this was a interesting item and was curious what you fine people thought. Do you think this could happen at the mint or is it after mint damage?

I should add I e-mailed the seller and they said the side of the coin looks uniform all the way around and shows no sign of after mint damage.

It is most definitely and without a doubt NOT a mint error.

Looks like maybe somebody was starting to make a ring.

That's what I asked the seller. It looked as if it was rolled under pressure.
