Another are that has different changes on the reverse is the Base of the pedistool of Lincoln. Some are different there also. Some have no mark under his feet, some have one line and other have two lines. Check it out.

There are more different reverses, not all of them have to do with the initials. I cannot say for sure right now what they are or what their date ranges are, but Coop gives a clue where to start.
Check your 1974 cents - I believe there could be two reverses used that year.
