I have been having problems with e-mail for quite some time and have narrowed down the problem (I think) but don't know the cause or fix.
Looking for someone in the know about this.
I can send e-mails with no problem and can receive e-mails but if someone uses the reply button they don't get sent or come back. I have even tryed to reply to myself and it dosen't work.
I think it only has to do with the reply button.
Got me confused. I thought there may be a box to check or uncheck but can't find anything related to the reply issue.
Anybody run across this before.

Probably something as simple as a check mark but I can't seem to get it figured out.

It's got to be the "reply-to" address. Check you email settings for something labeled "reply-to" or something similar. If there's something in there, it's probably wrong. I checked mine (I use outlook) and the field is blank, so nothing is needed for outlook.

Have you emptied you history, on your computer?
Have you emptied you Sent Items Folder?
Reduce the number of emails you have saved.
Copy important information to a Word file before dumping them. (Stuff you want to keep) Then deleted anthing you don't need from you messages. You may have run out of space for new emails or the folder may be too large. Just a possibility. I've tried numerious time to send you an email and get it bounced back.

Steven, I answered your email, with two modes:, one with "reply" only, and the other with the "select all", and respond. You did not reply to either. did you get either of them?

See if it's limited to one type of email, try others to see.

A few things to check:

Look at your blocked list or filter in your email, maybe you blocked yourself.

If you have firewall software it might be blocking your email, check that it's not on the deny list.

It can also be your router (if you have a router) being messed up and blocking it.

I have not had this specific problem but I have had other similar problems and my Norton Antivirus program was always the culprit. I usually found that out by contacting the help techs from my internet service provider.

Steven, and Rollmeupabe, and others, I quit using Norton AV for that very reason. I have Msafee, (via AOL), amnd have had no problems. Years ago I used the Norton Desktop application, and pulled it for too many problems. If you are using the Norton System Works, DON'T install the AV.

The new version of Norton lets me open tags. The old version I would receive the tags, but it wouldn't let me open them. I'm still struggling to endure the "Vista" head ache. But finding out how to do things. Just takes about 5 more steps than it used to. Sad Sad

I'm due for the next round of Norton. I think I'll pick it up in the morning. Maybe that will help.

Steven, Coop,

I have the new version of Norton and I am not able to reply to anyone's email without copying files and inserting them into the new email. Also I have Outlook, it is very frustrating replying to email's when you think your email was sent. I'll keep trying to figure it out also.
