The 304 page book, "Looking Through Lincoln Cents," is complete, all that remains is printing, binding, and shipping. The printing is well under way, and the shipping supplies are being negotiated at the moment. I have gone to a local company to make boxes that fit the books.

This book is nice, folks...even I like it, and that's saying a lot for it being my own work. I hope all of you who have ordered it like it...I think you will Wink

Chuck:

I've probably missed it, but can you give some details about what is included in the book?

Thanks.

Mark,

Sorry I took so long responding, I have been really busy with work around here and haven't been able to stop by over the past couple of days.

This book is a chronology of the Lincoln Cent series. It includes such information as what years have typically poor quality coins and from what mints, which years have more known die varieties and what to look for in finding them, and detailed photos of over 300 different die varieties. It also goes over the differences between the large and small date issues of 1960, 1970S, 1974, and 1982 cents, and even gives some secrets on how to tell the 1970S large and small date cents apart from one another without having them side by side.

There is also a grading guide that uses the 70-down method to assign accurate mint state grades to Lincolns as well as a guide for grading circulated cents.

In addition to that, there is also a glossary of terms used in the book to help the new collectors along.

In general, this book is the answer to the can-of-worms question I get quite frequently, "What is in X year's cents?" People ask that question quite frequently and don't realize the answer is quite detailed. This book should fill in a lot of those gaps.

I hope this helps...

- Chuck

I already have an idea for a sequel Chuck, Its a book with pictures of the same coins, only they are being held by Pam Anderson and Angelina Joli. Very Happy By the edges of course. Wink

I've got you covered - Anderson wasn't a problem, but Angelina had other engagements. Would Helen Hunt suffice? She's my secret pal.

By the way, Chuck, you mentioned early on you were thinking about selling polo shirts or T-Shirts with the Coppercoins logo, are there any available yet?

Chuck I know the book is out a friend of mine got one at the Oklahoma show. You have been quite lately. I hope you can tell me the books are in the mail. I would hate to have to beat the dealer up next week and take his book from him. First impression from him was Very Good and when I told him of your plans for future books he was jumping for joy. He is not a Variety collector but he dearly needs a good source to identify Lincoln Varieties so he can sell them. I think all the dealers in the world will want a copy just so they can identify and sell. ~lucky2
