I have several of this variety. The image on Coppercoins for RPM#4 looks very similar but not exact which I am assuming is due to a different die state.

Is this 1957D 1MM-004?

Yes...This is indeed RPM-004, and you are correct in that it is an earlier die state specimen than that on the site.

I have multiple examples of this one and also RPM #1 and #3 but not #2. Have others had the same experience in searching?

Hey Abe,
Searching these Lincoln's can be quite fickle at times. You can have a variety elude you for soo long while others are finding them despite your best efforts. But then at times you score when you least expect it.
This variety hid from my searches for a while but then I actually found 2 nice, elusive early die state examples within a day of each other if my memory serves me correctly.
Guess that is what makes this so much fun Laughing

Believe it or not, I have never found an RPM-002 either. I have just about every other 1957D RPM. I had never really noticed it until today.

And it did not even make the Cherrypicker's guide ! 1956D RPM#1 made it but not 1957D #1. I have found several of the 1956 variety which always causes a little excitement until I remember how common it is.
