Dagggit, looks like some one wants a change! There doesn't appear to be other than rought treatment. Tthe rest of the coin seems to have the regular dings, etc. What denomination is it?

Its a Canadian dollar, the mess on it is on the trees to the left of the Loon, on some of the letters in "DOLLAR" and some of the beads around the rim are effected. I ran out of Lincolns to search I think I just figured out what you said. The initials aren't that way from rough treatment Dick, it's filled with extra metal and is on other parts of the coin. I guess I need a better picture.

This looks like a case of die deterioration....especially if it also affects other portions of the coin.

Don't need to worry about looking silly here...We can't see you anyway
You really need to take your best guess at times. Even when we are proven wrong, nobody thinks anything less about us. That's the good thing about a forum like this. Besides having fun, we also learn a tremendous amount about things. Don't seat the small stuff...OK??

Daggit, while I remember, what is the 1867-1992, remberance for? One of my Canadian cents from the project is dated as such.
