Can anyone tell me who posted some photos of their boxes of tubes? Thanks
Dick

Dick,

I use the boxes the tubes come in but I add glued on cardboard to make them stronger. One box holds everything from 1959-2003 including 7 types of 1982 and 4 types of 1960.

Smile

ED, thanks for the pictures. I remember those, but the ones I was looking for in particular, were four shots, and , at least one of the boxes had some shot-gun rolls mixed in with the others. I think they might have been Coop's, on another forum. I have seen several boxes here, and other places, so I don't know where, much less who to ask, so a "general call for help"!
I am a bit skeptical of having more than one, or two boxes stacked at one time. We are talking about two boxes of cents, ($50.00), and these cardboard boxes seem a bit flimsy. I wanted the detail of the boxes shown, to see if there were any "home-made". I am going to make some boxes, but with 1/2" plywood sides and bottom. Then they can be stacked several high. The only difference will be in the denomination, as to actual size, but same structure in all cases. The shot-gun rolls can be stored in the boxes they come in from the bank. I refer to the newer ones with the shot-gun rolls on end. Thgis will give ne something to do. Thanks again, ED,
Dick

Ed, I located the photos, and am trying to give you a copy of the post. In case I can't pill it off, chech CC, and look for "chrsb", on us coin forum.

Dick,

I like these- http://www.jakesmp.com/CSD_Coin_Boxes/CSD_Coin_Boxes_003_M.html
http://www.jpscorner.com/Storage_Boxes_Bank_Rolls_and_Tubes.htm
They hold 50 instead of 100 and are built a little better than the ones the round tubes come in. I like them better than the ones that lay flat (like the ones from the bank) I just started to convert mine over to the 50 tube holders, I get them for around $6 each at coin shows. I made a template for the top of the box to label it so I know what is inside, it looks like this-
If anyone would like the file let me know and I will send it to them.

chrsb, you did what I wanted to do, but don't know how to get it done. I wanted to link your post, on the CC forum, so Ed could see what I was referring to. Your posting it here is even better. That way all of the members can see what you have done. These dont show the open boxes, but having seen the open boxes, gave me the idea to look for the square tubes. The nice thing with these tubes, is you can put round or square tubes in place, but don't try the square peg in a round hole! I'll check out the link, and see what will be forthcoming. I have just about spent all my Christmas money for a new scope, and 260 tubes, and about 30 rolls of wheats! The latter will just add to the tons of wheat , already here.
