It looks like coating or something applied to the obverse of a cent, then a reverse either glued to it at one time, or squeezed into the coating on a Cent. The image reversed is usually a dead give away.

I would weigh it. A copper cent will weigh 3.11 grams, and a zinc weighs 2.5 grams. The general condition, and appearance of this coin looks like another garage project. IMHO.

If you take a small piece of aluminum foin and place it over a coin and press hard to make the shape on a coin. If you look on the inside edge of the foil you will see the pattern reversed. It helps to press it down with a pencil eraser. But it will make a mold of the coin. as kids we used to fill the foil with elmers glue and make our own play money. Of couse you needed to paint the one side to make it look like a coin on one side. But it looked neat. You would probably end up in jail today for doing that. Times have changed......

Now why would you go to jail for cointerfeiting a coin? They do it all over the Far East, and they don't put them in jail. They even get paid for it.

I don’t have a scale so I’m not able to weight it, so for now I’ll put it back in the coin tube.
