Hi Folks,
Just thought I'd let you know about a bulk circ lot I received. A large percentage of coins in this 2000 coin lot were XF-BU. When I started sorting the coins into year groups, I noticed 2 1956D cents with the mintmark almost touching the 9 of the date. I of course hoped they might be RPM #8, and when I looked at them under the scope...they BOTH were. One is in AU+ condition and the other is XF. The value of these 2 coins more than covers the cost of the entire lot! I only have 1998 more coins to go through, but the search for varieties looks all the more promising already!

Congrats on your finds thus far. That is some very enjoyable quiet time sitting with a bag of cents and a microscope. I'm constantly flipping thru reference books or now that the scope is here by the computer I check the varieties with the pics here.
On a side note I received my copy of Chucks book today (#15) and can't wait to dive in.

Very cool Bob. Where do you get those bags from anyways? I would love to go through some of them.

Gabe,
I just happened to run into someone who knew someone, and that's how I ended up with this lot. I will check with him and see if he has more lots to sell if you wish. I am sure the man would love to sell more if he has them.

Thanks Bob. Please let me know. Im already interested in those coins after what you have found in that lot already.
So find anything good again? Im sure youve found many RPMs, but anything worth mentioning?
