Any idea where I can find a scale,

I’m using a halogen desk lamp to photograph these coins, should I use incandescent or fluorescent or just try natural sunlight. My pictures keep coming out either yellowish or brown.

The 1973 that I posted is a little thinner than normal, also I looked closer at the black spots on it and on the rev it looks like fire scale possibly the same on the obv..
It’s too cloudy to get a comparison photo with another cent today, but I’ll post one when I can for educational purposes, for other viewers.

I bought two scales on ebay, both work fine. You can also do a google search and find some.

Try using an incandescent bulb, 60-100w.

If you want to keep it cheap just mix the different types of lamps. Attempt to have a fluorescent and a incandescent lamp both on at the same time. Now just for your information note there are numerous types of both available. Most people purchase fluorescents called Cool White but if you check they are also available in types like Daylight. Even Black Light. Incandescents also have a wide range of outputs, colors, etc.
Myself, I prefer the Daylight Fluorescents mixed with a no frosted Daylight type Incandescent.
Note if working in a close invironment always have another type of lighting if using a Fluorescent Lamp. The reason is Fluorescents do not stay on continuosly, but actually are a bit strobiscopic although at a fast rate that you can not see but your brain does detect and many end up with massive headaches and don't know why. This can be nulified by another Fluorescent on another circuit from another phase or the addition of an Incandescent Lamp nearby.
