Hi, SMED, that's what I have. Most of the tiime it works fine, but now and then it acts more like "road-kill", because it just isn't there. As we spesk, it has come back to
life". They may be working in the area. T-W said they would be doing some work in various areas. Guess that is what is going on. good thing I have the second line, so I can use dial-up. I'd be a bit unhappy, if I didn't have access, at all!

Dick,

Everything is working ok here in Atlanta. I'm on DSL with a new computer which may have something to do with the speed.
I hope it clears up soon.

There is no on-going work on the site, and my connection seems to be working fine. I don't know what the problem could be guys, but I would suspect something with your ISP or our servers. If something else creeps up that we can catch, we will work it immediately and let you know what's up. Our server is in Michigan I believe so there is always the possibility they may be having some glitches up there that we are unaware of.

Bob, I think it is a combunation of my computer, the broadband network, (in this area), and AOL. I am on dial-up. and altho BB is available, it is slower that dial-up! Life gets soooo tedious!. Maybe it is the wind. We have the winds again, here, and they are supposed to get worsse. So far 54 MPH gusts looks like a re-run of the Hare, and the turtle race. jerks, spurts, and then nothing. It will get better, I'm sure. It always does, after I call the provider!

I removed a lot of images and copied them to a disk and deleted them. That seemed to speed things up. I'll know for sure later or not if it worked.....

Coop, that is a good point! I haven't been putting that much video on, before, but things are back to normal. All the employees must have shown up for work. Wink
The nice thing about having two computers, is that I can put your "overlays" post on one, and experiment with PHotoShop, on the other. Almost like having a tutor. A MUTE tutor, because I can't ask any questions.
I just saw on the TV, that we are drinking toilet water, in CA! Not the kind that men use. Shocked I knew it has a funny taste, but I thought it was chlorine! Twisted Evil

At times the site does slow down some, but it's always a very temporary thing, and there's frankly nothing I can do about it on the current server I'm on. It's a cheaper 'virtual' hosted solution, versus a dedicated hosting solution. The difference:

Virtual hosting means that one physical server is logically divided into many servers, but many accounts are on one computer. Virtual hosting is generally $50-$100 monthly.

Dedicated hosting means that you have one computer (server) all to yourself. Nobody shares it with you. Dedicated hosting is between $400 and $1000 monthly.

OUCH! That can get "hairy" in a hurry. You can relax, tho, because the problem is, (was) my unit, which is also the "gateway for the network. I did some "house cleaning", and it seems to be a bit better. A good "defrag" will no doubt help. Getting un-packed? I imagine it will take a while. It always does. There just isn't enough room for "all that stuff". Then when you have to pack it and make another move, then "where did all that stuff COME from"
I feel for you, but there isn't much I can do to help, no matter how much I would like to.
Dick!
