CW is confirming that the mint has said that a number of 2008-P Monroe dollars (to be released the 14 of Feb) were struck in quarter planchets, and will be released into circulation due to mint's inability to stop their release.

Fred Weinberg has said that he would not be surprised to see hundreds, or even thousands of these to be released.. and that they should be found within Monroe dollar rolls.

I will be calling my local banks the 14th, and buy dozens of these rolls. Wish me luck!

Sure seems like most of the treasure hunts are always for P mint coins.

Ed, I know what you mean! The Denver mint is too chinzy to allow any errors to be produced! That's okay. lets throw a bunch of "nasty" snow storms their way! That'll learn 'em, darn'em!
