I am confused! I was loking at the '60-D and in LCRC they say under the large over small date:
"In 1960 there were both
small and large date designs. In this
case a small date hub was punched
over a large date hub",
but the large over small is shown. I try to "think lke a die", but in this case it don't come out right! Is there a "typo"? Are there BOTH types?

Dick,
On the 1960-D there's the small over large with RPM 100 then the other 3 types are only on the 1960-P proof cents.
On the 1960 cents there are 4 main ones:
1960-D 1DO-001 / die-1 RPM 100 is a bussiness strike.
(small over large date)
1960-P 1DO-001 / die 1 is a proof.
(large over small date)
1960-P 1DO-002 / die 2 is a proof.
(small over large date)
1960-P 1DO-003 / die 3 is a proof.
(large over small date)

ED, thanks for your time, and info. I had not given any thought to the proof scenario. If you will check the LCRC site, and look at the 1960-D/MM-100, it will show youm (at the bottom text) where I got all 'balled up". the title says "large over small", and down below says< "small over large". that is where I began to wonder....
