When 2007 P Wyoming state quarter rolls were plentiful at my local bank, I did get several rolls to search and I had zero luck. But just for the heck of it, I picked up a single roll of WY quarters along with some other rolls I was buying from a dealer. In this roll, there were 5 different WY 25c DDRs! Three of them are very minor - perhaps too minor to list. Two of them are not bad. Here are the two better ones...

And here's another new State Quarter DDR. Given the center of the design on a 2004 Iowa quarter, what element do you think is the most likely candidate for doubling?

How about here...

I think this 2004 P Iowa 25c is the only known DD in the 2004 state quarters (assuming the WI Extra Leaf varieties are never proven to be DDs). It is listed as CDDR-001 and I should have Wexler ID in a few days. And BTW, it was another pocket change find - so I recommend that you don't spend that stuff rattling around in your purse or pocket until you get a chance to look at it!

None of these are jaw droppers - but they are DDRs none the less. I have a feeling there are many more to be found out there in the various "State Quarter" designs. But being all new designs, it takes a little detective work to figure out what might be doubling and what is part of the normal design.

Ken, you make a good point. You know, pf course about the many DDR's on the Minnisota quarters, among others. They are there, and we haven't yet become acqustomed to looking "dead center" on the "hammer-side". Depends how the dies were set up, to know wich side to check more closely, because that is "where the action is"!

Found this one today (2007 P WY 25c SMS)...

It is not a bad DDR -- on par with most of the other discoveries. I know several business strike WY 25c DDRs have already been listed -- but I have not heard about any in Satin Finish. I guess nobody is checking the Mint Sets for these.

I never thought I'd be seeking out WY quarters (not my favorite design). But I guess since DDs have entered into the picture, it looks better all the time.

Looks like I better check mine. I dion't have many mint sets, nor "P" coins, but they might just happen to hold a surprise! I won't hold my breath!

I cherry picked another new 2005 P WY 25c SMS DDR. Perhaps we do have another Minnesota on our hands. Looks to be the boldest one I've seen to date...

For a sense of scale, here is the same DDR compared with what would be considered a pretty bold column doubled 2006 D 1c. The amount of doubling on the WY quarter is just about the same -- perhaps a little bolder. Easily seen at 10x.
