Came across this today.The rim from 7:00 - 2:00 appears to be lower than the inside portion of the coin.Normally the rim would be slightly higher than the inside portion of the coin.Came out of the collar????Any comments will be greatly appreciated.As you can see this is in ef or better condition.

My first thought is that it has been encased. But lets see what others have to say.

Hi Steven,That was my 1st thought also as i had another coin i posted in a thread that had scaloped edges and it was confirmed by Bob.However the reverse and part of the obverse rims look normal.Thank you for your comment and we'll see what other comments will be.Ken

Yup - damaged, numismatically worthless. Bummer.

I'm working a lot, but am working weekends to get the office in order so I will be able to return to work. I haven't yet begun work in coins, but that should be starting up again very soon.
