It appears to be, and some time later. If it isn't, it is a darn good subsitute!Congrats. Nice photos, too.

Thanks
This is one of seven 1972 DDO’s that I have but this one is only one with counter-clockwise rotation, I wasn’t certain if it was die 2 or die 7. I’m still getting use too identifying the markers so I know just what I have.
I believe that the others are die 8 ( they have a dot on the T ). except for one that I think is die 3, and another one that I can’t quite figure out yet..

Drew, you're right it's Die-002 1DO-002.

I just would like to verify that I have the right die assigned to
The other 1972 double dies that I have.
I’ll post them one at a time on this thread.

If any other pictures are needed ( full obverse, or a certain area ) just let me know.
Drew

I have this one marked as die 8
It does not have the scratches under the G of GOD.

The first one is very nice, with crisper doubling of LIBERTY than many I've seen of die #2. Would that suggest it's an EDS?

The second one is either die 3 or 8. Those 2 are tough to tell apart. I'd look very close for the die 3 markers near LIBERTY, if you see them that would rule out die 8.

My guess is that it's die 8 but I'm not 100% sure I can rule out die 3.

003 has the strong die scratches under GOD. That one has the mark above the T on TRUST. Not sure if it should have one on the second T though? I just looked it up in a guide and yours have the marks on both T on TRUST so it is 008.

Here’s the last one
It looks like the markers match for die # 3
Coneca has several stages for die # 3, so I added full Obv and Rev pictures.
( the Rev does have a light green tone )

Coin # 6

Your last pic shows the die 3 marker on the reverse 3rd col.

That marker shows on die-3 stage 5, stage 6 has them but they get shorter. Yours looks like stage 5.

(per photos from John Wexlers old book)
