Is it or ain't it? Rolling Eyes

A dime was found w/ what looks like a raised, curved area at Roosevelt's ear.

Per Jul 26 Coin World, Wiles removed it from CONECA's listings. He had placed it there "tentatively".

June 21 Coin World had Fivaz and Tom DeLorey attributing it as a doubled die, a combination of tilted and rotated.

Ken Potter and Billy Crawford thought it was a die clash. Wexler, John Bordner and Jose Cortez agree.

Fivaz now thinks it's "die damage" of some kind.

I guess it's still a variety, but will it ever be worth anything? Can't be too many of them out there....

The plot thickens Robert. It seems that just about everyone has discounted it except Tom.
Of course, everyone has their opinion, and those opinions can change over time, or with pressure from others who disagree. In this case, I believe there is enough expertise saying that it is not a doubled die that would tend for me to believe it isn't one either. Did the article have any pictures? If so, what was your opinion on it based on what was shown.

it had a picture, but I didn't see one on the internet yet.

I think it's die damage of some kind. Rather a "heavy" arc to be a DD, especially when there's no other evidence of a DD.
