You know I'm hoping for a DD. Sure looks great though. I'm seeing something funky going on in the face area. The last few pics, one shows like it almost has the same markings of an eye in the hair (arrow). Also maybe a double ear? I'm looking too hard right!? So what do ya think, anything special???

Your as bad as me! Looking harder when I find an older coin. But in order to be a doubled die something has to be doulbed. I don't see anything on your images. There is a couple of image of the obverse that has a copper problem running NW-SE. Looks like parts of the metal has fallen off with usage? Maybe others might see what I'm missing. But the coins look normal except for the wood grain apearance which happen on the early years of coins because of a poor mixture problem. Keep looking, what you are looking for may be on your next coin.

To show how fanatical we get. Here is a break down of the same RPM in three different die states.

We wondered if it was the same one, so the grid and the progression to show it was from the same die.

So I thought I would give you a look at a decade of varieties that I have on my image host. Sometimes know WHAT to look for will help you find the next BIG FIND!
