Has anyone ever seen this extra bar in column 1. It runs from NW to SE. I'm thinking it may be a clash. Not sure.

Looks like a gouge. The field (bay) is the out side of the die which is subject to contact with anything there. It anything would happen it would be on the upper left corner of the bay for a clash. But it tapers like it had hit and moved away on the die. A clash would be even is shape.

That mark is a striation/gouge...possibly from tooling or cleaning of the die. I have seen many of those on modern cents, I do not believe it is part of the design elements.

I agree with Bob. If you will notice, the mark outside of the biuilding, that is a continuation, (apparently), of the one in question, line up very well, which indicates, (to me), that it is a gouge, or striation on the die.

Check out the posting time of Bob & My messages. I must have beat him by seconds. When I was watching to proof read after submitting, his post was there also, but after mine. We both had the same thought at the same time....

Striations are nothing more than a series of long lines. In this case, they are the same thing as the gouges.
