I recently went to Colorado for a business/vacation trip. While vacationing I went to the Denver mint and also visited the ANA museum in Colorado Springs. Unfortunately I did not realize you need to schedule an appointment with your congressman/woman to get a tour of the mint. The mint store was a great consolation prize. If anyone has a reason to go to Colorado I would recommend planning ahead to visit both of these but make sure to schedule a tour ahead of time.

You bring up a very good point. It used to be where you could go on a tour of any of the mints on any day. That's not the way it goes any more. Tours are still held, but they do take advance reservations, and the tours do fill up pretty quickly. The further in advance you can make your reservations, the better. Thanks for the info!
