Im thinking on buying a microscope and a camara to photograph coins... and I dont plan to spend more than $450. Any suggestions?

Where can I find info on what kinda microscope to get and how I might mate it with my digital camera?

It has a macro feature, but it says not to get closer than 4 inches to the subject from the face of the lens.

Murphy: On mine, the camera is ON the microscope lens when I take an image and without the microscope I usually get about 2 inches or so away from the coin. Try different distances to see what happens. I have a Sony Mavica FD-88. Not sure exactly how yours works, but if your not getting what you want, try something else as to setting up your camera. Others things come into play with images. Light sources, Types of light, unwanted light, glare off the coin, glare from other sources, too much light, too little light. See other post to see if anthing there helps. If not ask. Others may have an answer that I haven't yet.
