Per Coin World, Aug 2 page 38, an 800 square foot sandbox will be filled with 1 million Lincoln Cents on July 25. Kids will be allowed to search for the coins and prizes.

It's designed "to get children of all ages involved with money by teaching them the value of money, importance of savings, rewards of giving and the seriousness of money."

Hmm... What ever happened to the guy who collected 1 million pennys as a bet from a friend? I would sure love to have all of them to look through. Wink I heard no bank in the world would accept his coinage.... personally if I were him I would decide to become a serious Numismatic advocate and learn the ropes from coppercoins.com here... and well... find some rares Very Happy

Oddly enough from all the stories I've heard of people saving huge amounts of cents not one of them understood numismatics and not one of them thought a cent had any value at all.
