Hi All,
Is this caused by post mint damage or not? Thanks, Tery

Tery,

Head/hair cracks are mint errors, they are caused by die cracks.
On those the crack is raised on the coin.

I think your coin is not a head crack, the crack is sunk not raised. It was caused by a planchet with a lamination error. (a section of the planchet was peeling off) It's a minor mint error, (not post mint) sometimes the section like that will fall off the coin but it's best leave it there.

Smile
