I built a simple photo gallery of some of the photos I have taken since living in Florida - partly because I wanted to share them with the people in the family who have never been here, and partly because someone told me that the photos were of high enough quality that they should be published...so here they are:

Enjoy.

My late father was a amateur photographer of some fame and also an AVID COLLECTOR of tokens ,bottles and many things.Your photos are as beautifull and interesting as any of his. Here is what i was thinking though,a famous artist started drawing many of my dads work and i bet you could draw your work brilliantly!have you done any black and white photo work yet?or any portraits?

Carol, You are right! Even though Chuuck may be only half my age, I look up to him, because I respect talent, and thiose with talrnt. I don't envy him, to the contrary. I tam very proud to be knowm by him, if in name only, because he deserves my respect, and has it! He posted a pghoto, taken during the ice storm they had in Missouri, before he "went South". It was a fearsome shot, that makes one think, TYhere is one I would NOT want to meet in a dark alley! All dressed in black, (or dark clothing), dark glasses, and a big chain-saw!!! Just kidding ,Chuck, I would be proud to meet you anytime! It just came to mind, Carol, ask chuck about one of his, (their), posters. I know you would like one.

Thanks folks...more photos have been added, and I have another 50 or so left to add.
Kurt - Are most of those taken with a macro lens? How do you get so close-up to that stuff? Very impressive photography. All I do is frame it up and shoot...I haven't yet started exploring with distance, macro, etc.

Thanks Chuck! Your closeup of a gator eye is amazing too!
I use a not-quite-current dSLR setup: a Nikon D70s with the Nikkor 60mm macro. A very crisp lens--almost too crisp for coin photos, as it picks up every blemish. I think the 105 is better suited there because it gives you more distance from subject.

Thanks Dick! It's a fun diversion for me, and a nice sideline to photograph the coins I own. Believe me, I wish I could pull an income in photography and leave "amateur" status.

Kurt, just my viewpoint, but I bwelieve your work is wothy of that status, now. Ever tired selling anyof it? You might be surprised. (Of course it would leave you with little, or no time tophotograph your coins).
