Mike,
Although I am not on the site very often, I am the one who developed it and helps to maintain it. Back in 1999 when I started this site there was nothing remotely like it on the internet for any coin series. Since this site became the benchmark for what others have since done, my original dream in developing this place has been coming true. I wanted people to see what was possible and start doing something to get all the coin information available on websites everywhere.
You see, this isn't a monopolostic venture. I never wanted to be the only resource for collectors. I'm not out to ensure this is the only place where people can go, I WANT everyone who can to help with developing all sorts of online resources for coin collectors.
So...in brief, when someone asks about other sites and clubs around here, please don't feel like it's akin to asking for a Big Mac at Burger King. I like the fact that collectors want more information and education, and am happy for everyone here to share whatever resources they have found.

The problem with attempting to find a web site that is dedicated to one type of coin is that not as many coins are as popular as the Cent (Penny). Now there is something that may interpreted as sacrilegious calling the cent a penny.
There are now other web sites dedicated to the penny but not so with other denominations due to just not enough popularity. I remember on a coin forum somewhere where there was sub forums for some coins such as Nickels but can't remember where. I know of a web site called jmscoins where the guy that has that site specializes in Ike Dollars but naturally also deals with other coins. Naturally there are some web sites like the PCGS one where you could ask about any coin ever made but with 27,000 members if your question isn't answered in a few hours it vanishes to page 2, 3 or 4. If you go looking for your post the next day it may well be on page 1,000,000. Slight exageration but not by much.
I would assume the main problem with a dedicated to one type of coin website is just not enough popularity.

Isn't it coin community forum or coincommunity forums or coin community family or something like that? WOW, I'm sure not much help.
What is wierd is if you go to Google and type in Coin Forums you get 504,000 results. Think there are other coin people out there?
