Looks like it WAS fully struck and got whacked again before it could get out of the way. Why would I say that? Look at the one on the reverse. it looks enlarged because of the second strike. Great double strike though!

The problem with that coin is it will not work in gum ball machine. Don't let that get you down though, the last gum ball machine I saw was for 0.05 and many are now 0.10
Fantastic coin there.

Carl: It won't fit into a roll either. The gumball machines in the malls take quarters. Same size as we used to get for 1 cent in packages when I was a kid. So next time there look for them for that price now.

You got that right, it's an error not a variety.
I always look close to see if by a miracle you might find an error like this that is also a listed variety.
