I'd call that well "nailed down"! It might come in handy, if "Fay" gets all hot and bothered in the Gulf. "It ain't over, 'til it's over"!

I heard that scratches/light gouges like these are caused by an ejecting finger that scratches the dies field which is the outside face of the die. I have one similar to that which the marks flow from the opposite direction. I tried to get an image to show, but the host was not working right now. Looks like they are trying to mess with it again and you have to start learning how to use it...again. They've done that five times since I've been using the site. Always messing things up. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Aren't the feed fingers made of aluminum, how is it possible for it to damage the die if it's made from hardend tool steel, you would think it would be the other way around, and the softer metal would wear out first...........

I'm just repeating what Mike Diamond said one time about this type of error. The continued wear against the die could make it in time. The mark I've noticed is usually very long with a definite ark to it on coins I've seen it on.

Site working today.
