Decided to get out of the house and go to the beach for a while today. Heard about a beach not too far from here where I could do what I find fascinating, shark's tooth hunting. All the teeth found there are prehistoric relics that wash up especially during storms.
The surf today was at about 6 feet, more than double normal, and the teeth were everywhere...

Those are very cool finds Chuck. Amazing what can wash up on the beaches after a storm has passed. All we got around here were waterspouts and tornadoes

That is a nice haul!
Keep an eye out for those shipwreck coins, you always hear of them being found after storms.
Here's a big tooth, the nick is from when he bit a power cable while he was making a movie

Wow...what a great collection! I find some fossilized sea mammal bones here in CA, but no shark teeth sofar. Ed's tooth resembles a Megalodon tooth. I'm rather glad those monsters no longer swim the seas.

Those megalodon would keep a lot of people out of the water, EXCEPT, those who live in Florida on the east coast. Up to 19 shark bites this year and still they venture into the surf to enjoy the waves.
I do not get into salt water any more: I do not get into fresh water that is over 70 degrees (except the bath). If you have been in the water with a twelve foot hammer head over the top of you, you can appreciate why the ocean is not a place for humans.

Several yrs. ago my wife and I went to Sanibel Island to do some seashell collecting. It was after a storm and the water was murky.
I went in snorkling in about 20 ft. of water when a very large dark object went over me...... my wife thought I was Jesus Christ the way I came out of the water ..... never been snorkling since in murky water.
