After 7 long years of service my desktop computer is officially T.U. and will never start again. I am currently computer crippled, mostly disabled. I hope to have complete resolve to this issue within a week or two, but until then my advancement toward getting anything at all done is going to be severely hampered. Bummer.

Chuck, I don't know what "T.U." means, (probably USAF lingo), but, If I were close enough to take one over there, you would ba on line in a flash!

One of those little birdies on my steps has told me that Chuck has received his parts ordered and will be assembling his new platform tomorrow.I KNOW he will be enjoying himself!!One birdie mentioned maybe something like 4 gigs ram!!!!!I kinda feel we all have a vested interest in this , because without him here ..well ,would we be here?It occurs to me it might be a good or opportune time for any of us that can ,to support this site with a donation and I think I will right now!!!

I am back, although not in full gear yet. My photoshop CD is busted, didn't know it until I went to load it on this new computer - so now I have to buy it again.

Anyhow, the computer is nice, but will take some growing into. Went from a 20Gb hard drive to a 500Gb hard drive, went from 512Mb RAM to 4GB RAM...dual video...the works. All parts are new, using the same monitor. The whole thing set me back $850, but was worth it.

I should have been a little more clear. I have photoshop on the computer - the problem is actually InDesign. I have the entire Creative Suite with all the Adobe programs. My disc 2 is cracked all the way through. Photoshop is on Disc one, but InDesign is on disc 2.

Chuck, I have never heard of that program, so I can't help you there, otherwise I would be doing just that.
Having just read Carols post, I don't feel so out of place, with a whole bunch of computers, (and All on line with a cable-modem/router combo). I can't cut it with just one unit. you just can't look at an image on the site, ans compare it with anotherphoto, unless there are at least two units.....My memory is too short!

USN as well... but we say "Tango Uniform" (phonetic alphabet). The U is for Up and the T is for the upper front area on a person.

Another popular one is Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over.
