ED. i agree with ou ther. I once knew where thre was a canon, about a mile, maybe less, off the coast of Boca Chica. I had it maarked, mentally, with referenceto a couple places on the beach. It was in about 30 feet of water, and easily seen, after a lot of churning and rough seas. I imagine it has been covered, and unovered many times, since it first went down. The GREEDY laws of florida keep a lot of folks from revealing details of things like that, because they claim avetything from shipwrecks, to whale srap! A lot of other countries do the same as floeida: anything in the ground id "National treasure. No one believes in the old "finders-keepers". "Hooray for me- Punk you"! You do the work, and they get the pay! Cynical? You bet!

That is very cool. A coin in the remains might help date it!

Having been in salt water, for as long as it apparently has, it better get some protection, oR there won't be anything but rusty crap left. Air is the LAST thing it needs. I wonder if they ever tried using an airborne magnetoometor to find some of the buried treasure? It does a pretty good job of finding submarines! HI, BJ!
