The coin is from Sweden. Value 1 Krone. The word SVERIGE is Sweden in Swedish. If I still remember i think it reads "For Sweden in time"?
Hope that helps

För Sverige i Tiden
--Carl Gustaf XVI's motto, could also be said "Sweden with the times", ie not left in the past. The shield with 3 crowns is also a quick read for Sweden.

More important what is going on with the portrait on the obverse?

I don't collect Sweden, so I was wondering about that too
Apparently it's in the style of the portrait:
Thankfully he doesn't quite look like that in real life:

Spin, or flip it to see if he is looking both ways. Indicating that he is keeping an eye on everything, and everyone.

Dick--a modern "Janus"? That would make an interesting coin--here's an example from Rome (c 212-225)--not my coin.

Having seen very little of the ancient coinage, of Rome, and Greece, I can't say much about them. But in this case, the "portrait" appears to be very grotesque. I mean it is not proportional as we are accostomed to see. Looking at the second photo, it is easier to see the details, but the first is very hard to discern the details, due to the lighting. He gave the ompression, (in the first photo) that he was very obese, and had a "ducks -butt" hair-do. The picture indicates a normal build.
