you were lucky to have season tickets that year. Lots of great players. That reminds me that the first tv show I ever saw in color was the 1964 All Star game. We did not have a color tv at home then. My brother and i and maybe one or two friends were outside of my house and my next door neighbor, an elderly gentleman, was very kind and invited us in to watch the game. I sat there bug-eyed the whole time. Then sometime before or after, the same year no doubt, the first movie I ever saw in color was The Wizard of Oz, of all things, at my cousin's house. The movie was run on a particular holiday. I cant recall which. I still remember both of those like it was yesterday. I mean seeing the Wizard of Oz switch from black and white to color for the first time was really a memorable experience. Kids dont understand that now.

Civil? Yeah, I was very uncivil when I took every points you made and logically broke it down and found its flaws. Yep.. what was I thinking?!
Why don't you just address the issues I brought up?
Well.. I was caught a bit of guard here. I was expecting something on the lines of :
Truther: 9/11 was an inside job!
Sane person: Prove it.
Truther: There was no plane at the Pentagon, only a missile!
Sane person: There's dozens of witnesses and plane debris was found all over the place.
Truther: ...Well the WTC was a controlled demolition!
Sane person: Why did both buildings collapse from the point of impact then? Pretty crazy the explosives were in the exact spot the plane hit and didn't explode upon impact.
Truther: ...You're just a government shill! Enjoy your FEMA camp when the NWO rolls around!
Well.. since notabot has decided that this discussion is now way above his head, I suppose he has moved on. Hopefully, we won't have to see anymore of this foolishness.
People who believe this crap are the lowest of the low, and a disgrase to the United States and for its values. We can all disagree about many things, but when you twist established facts to support your moronic political ideas, you have crossed the line. When truthers go and march at ground zero every 9/11 anniversary, and call the people who witnessed the attacks themselved liars, they have crossed the line.
These people are simply dillusional, and think that the US government is behind everything. They can't accept the fact that we are all vulnerable to attack from others.. and that is why they always claim crazy conspiracies when attacks like 9/11 take place.
Again, notabot, how the US govenment keep the thousands of people involved in the 9/11 attack quite for so many years?

I already told him to go somewhere he considers civil...like maybe another country who sees things the way he does. I see nothing uncivil about the discussion here, only people expressing their views like we can in this country. I don't expect he will address your points Gabe. He has already had the opportunity. Thanks for letting us know how you feel about things Gabe. You are a true patriot.

Bob, Garry, while you guys were watching all this going on, I was in Mexico. In fact I was there when the big earthquake hit Anchorage, AK, and later when JFK was assissinated. I had an edge on the radio shops there, because I was the only one with TV repair experience, and all the "Mueblerias", furniture stores were sending me their work. Makes for great jealousy! That is when I was reported as an "illegal". It back-fired, tho, because they didn't get rid of me!

You made the same points I did, Gabe, these people cant have it both ways, at the same time the government is being criticized for committing the latest gaffe like mortgage fraud and hurricane relief, somehow the government has managed to orchestrate major events and keep thousands of people silent about all the alleged conspiracies over the years. It is a waste of your good time to argue with them. They don't hear it. They don't want to hear it.

To quote Mr. Rosie O'Donnell: “I do believe that it’s the first time in history that fire has ever melted steel. I do believe that it defies physics that World Trade Center tower 7—building 7, which collapsed in on itself—it is impossible for a building to fall the way it fell without explosives being involved. World Trade Center 7. World Trade [Center] 1 and 2 got hit by planes—7, miraculously, the first time in history, steel was melted by fire. It is physically impossible.”
Aside from the fact that steel weakens greatly under high heat (such as that heat created when jet fuel burns), I wonder how she thinks steel is made? Must not be in a foundry using fire...
And yes... "Mr." was intentional.

I didnt look at the link, but if she really said that its the first time in history fire melted steel, thats a pretty stupid statement.

Wow...what is up with people? I think anyone in the public eye who inflames irrational paranoia should somehow get billed. In this case, her public service might be to pay for a high school's physics program for a year. She could certainly benefit from taking that class herself.
That got me laughing…thanks!

I don't know what "her" academic background is, but from the first time I heard her speak, it turned my stomach! And that takes a lot! I can't stand her type, or her rheteroric, (sp).
Obviously, I didn't click on the link. The common trend in the discussion tells me more than enough!
Gabe, I agree with the "MR."! I don't think any "sic, "man of the house" would stand ten seconds of her big mouth!

Hi All
I believe that this is why she became the man of the house . I hope i dont get flamed for that but she is very offensive in my opinion.
Also on the steel melting i believe that fuel plus air equals melting of steel isnt that how a blast funace works. So ill speculate that thousands of pounds of fuel plus debris plus the air entering the towers through there holes basically equals a giant blast funace
Regards
Eric

Yes, I believe that MIT did a very thorough analysis of the attack, including a detailed computer modeling of the collapse that basically reinforces what others have said here. I seem to recall it aired as a NOVA episode. Given the tragic details of what the passengers and the WTC victims experienced, it's very hard to watch--but its logic should dispel these conspiracy theories.
It should--if you are sane. But that may be the problem now--sanity is undervalued--either by decision or by neglecting one's higher faculties. People enjoy basing their conclusions on emotions--and everywhere they're running far too hot. But nobody ever made good decisions that way--and people like Rosie O'Donnel are addicted to anger.
Apologies for stating the obvious, ...I just see so much of this nonsense.

Gabe...I'm sure the tin-foil-hat crowd believes that. Endless layers of conspiracy
Just for the sake of that crazy argument: say the building was rigged with charges, how did "they" get access to every floor and critical attachment point at the core structure--without arousing suspicion? But systemic collapse is somehow impossible? Anyway, good to know people here thought this out.
