I received a tentative diagnosis from the doctor yesterday. He agrees that there are 4-5 lesions in my brain that are NOT cancerous and are NOT Multiple Sclerosis related. He said it had to do with vascular ischemic gliosis - a migraine variant that can cause cognitive loss for periods of time, blurred or spotted vision, and a number of other symptoms that are usually noted in typical migraines. My case, however, does not involve the pain associated with typical migraines.
He said to get my cholesterol in check (it's not all that bad, 185 overall) with light doses of prescription medication for cholesterol, and to reduce my stress because stress is a trigger for these events.
To that end, and for other reasons, at the end of this year I am going to go back into semi-retirement, move back to Missouri, and continue with my life of documenting, studying, photographing, and selling Lincoln cents. I will not be working or living in Florida after January 14th.

Chuck, That is good nerws! It looks like our prayer were answered! No doubt, the new friends you made since the move to Florida, will miss you, but the old friends you left brhind in Misouri will be glad to see you return.
Stress is one of the worst things we have to contend with in our daily life. It is too bad we haven't learned to control it. I have a problem with it, and my blood pressure went off scale. I decided that what happens to other people, relatives, or not, is not my problem any more! It has helped.
We are with you, whereever you go, and will keep the prayers coming. Have a nice weekend,
Dick

I'm glad to hear the tentative diagnosis--that sounds far better than the other possibilities. As a longtime sufferer of migraines, I'm thankful my affliction is relatively minor. Best wishes for a continued recovery!
