It is possible the seller or a cohort bid that up to that level and this is all a goof.

As far as a "cohort-in-crime" is concerned, I say , " A shill, is a shill, is a shill"! No matter in what type of transaction, if one is bid against, for the purpose of getting all the money from that person, then yes use a shill. The one is just as big a thief as the other! And ebay is full of them.

The news said the guys that faked it needed to sell it to raise money for their legal fees. I think they got charged with fraud or making fake reports.
