Very nice 1973 cent!
Struck through capped die - you got it right, I gave you the date. 100% certain.

WOW! CD notices all the details!
It has the giant style FG only used in 1973

Hi thanks guys, and thank you Chuck for giving me the date on it. Found it in a tub full of circulated Canadian and US mixed cents that my sis gave me. Hope this breaks my dry spell

It's either a mid-stage brockage or a later strike from a clashed cap. Both are "capped die strikes". The latter is a rather non-specific term that incorporates a wide range of errors and effects.

Thank you Mike, and for anyone who can answer do these have much of a premium? Is it worth getting something like this slabbed or does it need to be more significant to be worth while?
I am unfamiliar with these.

These tend to sell for around $20 or $30 on eBay, so it's not worth getting slabbed.
