Am I having a bad day? I thought this looked odd. Is it inverted?

let me put it this way: If it is, then mine is ok, because I have mine "upside-down, under the scope to check. Nice find!

I think that is a normal "ball serif" S.
(the lower end looks strange but it might be from wear)
Don't take my word for it, I'm not an expert on MMs. When I search 1946 cents I split them into each type then look close and each time for a minute I think something is inverted then later realize it's not.

Ed, that is where the overlays really come into lay! You can see one that is up-side-down, in a flash! (I think). I have to put them on a large TV, to get a big enough picture to look at. My scope is great, but not much help when it needs very close foceu. Then, I am "up the creek"....!

David: I had one like that and the mint mark was extra large. The reverse was a doubled die. You might check yours for that.

Don't you pull a Daggit, on us, now! She is still looking for a coin! The only thing I can say is "It didn't come here"!

I packed away several rolls of coins and haven't unpacked them yet and still haven't found what I had organized. I put them away when they installed my cable. There still in hiding.

I will find it. It's in plain sight in front of me in the floor inside one of the containers. Not a problem to locate. Patience...Patience......

I know what you mean! I have that problem with every move I make!... Do you suppose it might be because there is so much, "stuff" all over the place, that there is no more room to set it on, put it into, slide it under, hide it behind, or just haven't looked on the scope base? When one has nine boxes of tubes, plus all the other ones that are partially filled, sitting "right where I can get it" when One gets around to doing that one again. I see no problem! Just think what you were doing when you had "that coin" in mind, and hand. It is so easy, "A caveman could do it"! MY FOOT!!!
There IS some good news, before I forget where I put it, or what it is..... I found a 109 VDB, a 12-P, 12_D, and 12_S, in one roll, along with two IHC, 1907, 1904. Out of thirteen rolls, I have three rolls of teens. almost a roll of twentys, and few '50's. A few fortys, and a lot of thirtys. Many mints all across the board. I'll be going back for more!
