I guess that was too easy?

Just thought it looked unusual. When I slid the crap coin under the scope, that was what I first saw. I figured it would go a day or two........ Oh well the search continues........ Found it in my change yesterday. I save all Cents I get each day and check them. So far nothing of great interest. When I do find something I'll post it.

If you count the rings can you tell the age of this 1/2 of a magicians coin?

Joe your correct.
http://image.inkfrog.com/pix/coop49/ShadowKnows_03a.jpg
This Cent was found in a roll by one of the employees at work this week. It was part of a doubled headed Cent or a wheat back Cent, not really sure but the other part of the coin was missing. Just the hollowed out shell of the 1960-D Cent. She was disappointed to find out it was not worth anything. I borrowed it for a Photograph. The other part of the coin we can only guess what it was. Probably fell out during the counting and bankrolling cycle. So who knows what it was intended for for sure. Just considering the possiblities. Good call Joe.

umm...but its purpose was to be hollow...to conceal a dime. That's part of the trick. Nothing "fell" out.

You are correct Chuck. I tried, It does hold a Dime. So The mystery remains. Just got away from someone. People get two headed coins in their change because the orginal owner accidently spends them cause they look like a normal coin but with two heads. But this was the first time I had seen one. Thought it was interesting. The 1960-D Cent was not a RPM. That would have been a real bummer. Find one that was listed and find out it was defaced. Thanks for the consideration everyone.
