Unfortunately, it has happened again. Joe and Jean Gallo were returning home from the Tennessee State Numismatic Society show when their entire inventory was stolen from their truck. I am providing a short list of the coins that were taken, some of which were high end items, especially the 1969-S Lincoln cent with a doubled die obverse. If you hear that this coins are being offered for sale or are approached to buy these coins, please contact the authorities.

It happened directly after the Tennessee State Numismatic Society show, while Joe and Jean were checking out of their hotel. From the sound of it, it was a professional job.

BJ, does everyone who goes to one of these shows have to sign a "guest log"? I would think so, based on the risk involved, and the thefts that have occured at these shows. It would give a list of people to comntact, in the event of anything more than just a theft. I agree, it sure looks like a "pro",, and very possibly, an "inside job"!
I tyried to post the info on Coin-talk, but I don't have enough "whiskers" to post a new thread. I left a message with one of the members, to check out your post on CCF.

Yet anther rip off from a coin show! They got busted later when trying to hawk the loot thanks to a dealer that found out they were stolen and tricked them into hanging around until the police got there Laughing

The good thing about currency is that it has serial numbers!
