I finally had a successful spinal tap but have not yet heard the results.
I still don't have any recurring symptoms, but the doctor says this is likely at some point because the protective sheath around the nerves (mylin or myalin) is destroyed in some areas of the meaty tissue in my brain. Basically I have tissue damage in my brain that will not likely heal. The cause of this is the big question.
So I wait for the results, should get them today or tomorrow. The spinal tap will be able to definitively say if I do have multiple sclerosis, but will not be able to rule it out.

Wow Chuck, that's some serious medical diagnosis. I hope it's not as bad as that.
Our prayers are with you.

Results of the spinal tap say negative for the protein that screams MS. So basically we can say my spinal fluid appears to be normal. The only thing this could have done was definitely diagnose MS...but it still cannot rule it out.
From all tests and results, it's highly unlikely that I have MS. But it is highly likely I have 'something' that the docs cannot diagnose.

Glad to hear it's not MS! Strange that they don't seem to know what it is though.

Chuck, I was hoping they would find a way to determine if you have, or do not have MS, but what they did find is heartening. It gives hope, and expectancy. As always, our prayers go out for your improving health to the dat the DR's say you are well now!
