see that stuff all around there? by the F is the best spot, and looks better in hand. just wondering if this is a know variety, or if it's simply a clashed die.

Gription, It IS a clash. Look at the "HC"area. you will find the hair, etc. nice find. I don't know if it is a known, or un-known.

It does look like a clash, might need to see an overlay to see what it's from.

that thing has been in my type set for... maybe 3 years? i never noticed the clash until i took pics the other day :shrug:

and for what it's worth, i'm not completely satisfied with those pics.. in hand it's one of those coins you got lost in. didn't notice the rim issues til lately either, but eh.. "it's all good" Laughing
