It is discouraging to see auction like this, where a coin that is in LDS to VLDS, with NO extra premium involved, is bid on repeatedly by people without a clue what is going on concerning varieties.

At the bottom of the page there is an option to "Report this item". I would use that to contact Ebay and let them know this coind description is a fraud.

Also interesting to note how the structure/wording of those two auctions are similar. I suspect these guys trade notes on how to turn a quick buck on collector's inexperience.
I also see a lot of IHCs with Longacre doubling misattributed as DDOs. Those sellers often seem genuinely convinced they're selling a valuable DDO.

The bad part, or shhould I sad part, is that thety are reported to ebay, and NOTHING is done to eliminate the situation. I don't bid on anything. Too many bad products. I go the " buyit-now", and sample the goods. If I like what I get, then I gop back for anothe sample. Once I am satisfied with the sellers goods. then I get much larger amounts. Sort of the theory in Japan: The girls used to call a guy, "butterfly-boy" if he didn't Keep the same girlfriend. The guys response was "butter-fly, no, Testo, testo".

The strange thing is sometimes bidders seem to chase the junk and pass the good stuff. I've got nice DDOs for $1 while people bid on the surrounding garbage
