What software do I need to get to:

1) insert and position pointing devises (arrows)

2) working with overlays

Have read somewere in here to get PhotoSuite, but it didn't ref. to what version or any cost/s, much less were to get it.

Just got off, internet and (not knowing what I'm looking for) just got frustrated.

Any help would be appreciated.

Pennyhound,
Both Chuck and myself use Adobe Photoshop to edit our photos. I use an earlier version of Photoshop 5 LE (limited edition), and Chuck uses the most current version of Photoshop. I would suggest buying the lower cost Photshop and learn with that one. I believe you can find a liscensed copy on Ebay for around 20 bucks. It has all the tools I need to edit the coins you see on coppercoins.com.

Well, no software will do everything automatically...it's a matter of practice and learning. But yes, photoshop does it all. It is the leader in the industry for photo editing software. The limited edition lacks some of the filters and ease of use, but for what you would be doing with it, limited edition is a bargain and works like a champ.
