This is the start of winter, (on the calander), but there are many of you who will swear it started a month ago, at least! Enjoy!
While I'm at it, Merry Christmas to each, and all! May you receive the very thing you have wanted for so long!

looking at my thermometer on the wall the outside temp is 16
with a windchill of -5. so yes Winter is here to stay for a while.
And to all of those that have trying times in thier lives, May God Bless You and those that are close to you.

Mike, It must very windy, as well!
I have the feeling this is going to be a very rough winter for a lot of people. I hope not, but the signs are there. best keep plenty food and water available, and plenty of things to keep you warm. A big ice storrm could leave folks without power for a long time, A couple weeks, possibly. Not predicting the future, just trying to read the present!

My philosophy is.....
prepare for the worst
hope for the best
My firewood is near the door
generator is primed and ready
and the wife's car is in the garage ( God forbide that it gets snow or ice on it)  ( she packs my side with her stuff )

Hello All
I HATE WINTER  Its 3 degrees with windchills to -30 (yikes) not to mention over a foot of snow on the ground. Well on the bright side at least the days are gettiin longer now so spring is on the way. I also would like to wish all of you a happy and safe holiday
