Nice find Jon! The only thing better would be one in BU. But that doesn't always happen. Have you checked the site for a match yet? A little tougher on the P mint ones. The mint marked ones location of the MM is a big help to identify them.

Thanks guys.
coop - checked the site, but this particular one has no pictures up yet. The description of the 002 matches the motto and the wheat stalks, but it seems on mine that the O and E of ONE have class 6 as well. Maybe it's a new one? Not sure if Bob would want it for pics though since it is a bit rough. Still going through the 1000's I have, a BU one would be nice , will have to wait and see.

Jon: Bob will probably comment soon on this coin. Again nice find!

I am afraid that the condition of the coin precludes me from being able to ID it properly. There is no doubt that it is a strong class 6, and I would venture to guess that it would cross reference to CONECA Die-004. If it was in better shape, we might also be able to determine if it was also a class 2, which would match CONECA Die-001. If there are good markers that can be taken from this coin, then I would probably list it. I have 8 1944P class 6 doubled die reverses in my collection, including one that looks like this. They are not listed because they suffer from the same thing as this one. Definitely a class 6, but to worn to get good markers.

Thanks, Bob. I thought that would be the case.

Bob
Is it me or have you noticed many of the 44's from all mints have slight to strong class 6 doubling on the reverse? Mainly in the motto. Just found a 44 S with class 6, but the condition is as worn.

Jon,
There does seem to be quite a few 1944 P/D/S Class 6 reverses. However, as noted before, unless you can get a nicer copy with verifiable markers, it can be difficult to tell if some of those are the same die. In my collection, I have over 120 1936 Class 6 DDRs, and for 1939 I have about 60. I will go through these some day and see if I can find some decent markers and get them on the site.
