I read the posts on the new Cherry Pickers Guide. It seems like a lot of people are disappointed by the lack of any substantial new listings. I think the CPG and Wexler/Flynn "Authoritative Guide on Lincoln Cents were my first two sources of information on Lincoln Cents. They were great when that was all I had to go by but when I came across Coppercoins.com I could not believe my eyes. What a fantastic resource.
And the people that post on this site are the most polite and supportive group of any web site I ever visited. They always contribute great insights, encouragement and once in awhile some great humor. I also found Chuck's book to be a great resource but the web site is truly a GEM.
I wish you all a happy and healthy 2009 and may you be blessed with many cherry picking discoveries in the new year.

I must agree this is a fantastic resource, if it weren't for the great images and detailed explanations of "why it is" or "why it isn't" I would be lost. I can't even imagine the time it takes and dedication involved to create and maintain this site. A Happy New Year Chuck and Bob and thank you to all on the forum who have aided in educating me on Varieties and Errors.
Happy New Year

Oh YEAH?!?!?!
Just wait 'til I get my grubby hands on the code again and start turning this into a REAL website!!
Coming in 2009:
- New search feature
- "My Collection"
- Searchable articles with public ratings
- Coppercoins classifieds
- MORE PHOTOS!
- Faster site interaction
- Downloadable/printable checklists, price lists.
- New automatic updating price guide.
- second-level access to information with paid membership, including:
-- price history data
-- known specimens count (like a pop report)
-- registry entries - yes, a Lincoln cent die variety REGISTRY!
So you just keep yer pants on and enjoy this site, and as the year rolls on, I'll be rolling out new programming.
Oh....and by the way, THANK YOU for all the kind words. I hope you take all the above with a wink and a smile.

If he beats me, it will be because he was aware of it being ready before I found out! I may not be the first to pay, but you can bet your '09-SVDB, I won't be the last!
Chuck, I'll be looking forward to the "Grand Re-opening"!
Dick
