There was a very interesting thread on the CU forum concerning the fact that Teletrade appears to be guilty of launching very devestating spyware to visitors on their site. Luckily I have no interest in Teletrade but it's an interesting read none the less about the potential impact of spyware and some recommended remedies.

That's interesting and I dought that it's true but couldn't say for sure.
I can say this though:
I have been on their site (Teletrade ... http://www.teletrade.com/coins/cat.asp?realized=1) since it's inception and have had no problems what-so-ever, maybe it's something to do with the "Guest" portion of the site, or maybe a bone to pick, who's to say, I might also say, that I have not read the referenced article. (referenced time, is 4 or more times per week, most of the time, more as I also prepare an auction cost/s for references to price/s for certified coin/s on my web page)
Would it be practicable for you to post, what you are referring to?
Or maybe a link to ref.'d thread. (all it takes is: copy link to that page and put it in as: link.

Pennyhound I agree with you. I have had an account with them for some time now. I have won and lost auctions there. I have items on my watch list and I receive e-mails at times and follow the link to their site. Not once can I say I have encountered a problem I even remotely felt was from their end.
And by the way. How ya doin' ?
Joe
PS here is a link to the refrenced thread.

Just fine, Joe, (I'm still reading that thread) and from what I have read thus far ... I think that what-ever infected his computer came from another place other than Teletrade's site, he stated as much at the bottom of the 1st page, by stating that he really didn't know much about computers, bet he has some issues with the way his security setting/s are setup.
I'll read on and then post, if what I have to say isn't already said befor I get to the end on the thread.
(Bet most of it is the befor mentioned along with updates from Window's Update and Anti-virus program with their updates ... knock on wood ... haven't had all those problems ... been there done that, then started to read up on the causes and now head em off befor hand)
Also, I have returned coin/s and had no problems there either ... thinks there's more than meets the eye, in the posts.
Later Joe and nice to hear from yas, got bags & bags of them pennies to go through so I guess I should end this ... lol ... happy hunting.
