I've been wanting to post this one, but I don't know what I did with it!!!! Pennies, Pennies everywhere!!! I'm not sure about this one, It looks like a titled MM and maybe a DDO? Though when I did have the coin in hand, it didn't have any of the markers shown on Bob's. By the way hi all. Just got back from a geneology/vacation trip. N.E. Fl & S.E. GA, then to Jekyll Island. Found most of my kin's graves from 1809 up! 1 cemetery was in the okeefonokee swamp!
So Coop share some of your organization skills?

I used to search BU rolls when they were available and put the normal ones in tubes for storage. Any RPMs/DD's I placed in tubes marked or unsorted except for the years/mint mark they are. I like to store my coins in my collection in 2X2's. I've never cared much for flips. Probably because when I started collecting, the PVC flips we unknown then. After ruining a few coins, vowed never to try them again. I know they make safe flips now, but I just don't like them.
Someday I will need to recheck tubes. When you first start out you miss a lot of stuff. Now I will be able to spot what I missed the first/second/fifth time through when I started out. I have a 100 roll box of tubes that I put less than rolls into and when I need a BU coin or a few to complete another roll, I dip into them to fill out a roll. Circulated wheats I put into a large container that holds them. When that gets full I will roll them in paper rolls for sale later on. AU/BU coins that are PRE 2000, I save in tubes to search later or help a fellow collector to get a better coin than what they already have a circulated example.
I use the 100 tube boxes to store the rolls of coins in and now I've found a box from work that will hold 66 paper rolls in to take them back to cash in, or store things in organized fashion. I also use the boxes you get the 2X2's in to hold single/doubled/triple coins in vertically. They are nice as they can be marked and organized.
I store my collection in three ring binders with 20 pocket pages. That keeps them better for me to find a certain coin I'm looking through. I use folders to hold some coins. I also use Excel to catalog my collection. Where I can find singles/duplicates, where to look. Am I organized? I wish I had more time to do more sorting/cataloging/organizing my coins. They get so heavy quickly.

Here is a few Cents facts that you might have seen before, but always work a second look.

Tery, that is essentially what I do, too. I want to catalog my collection, but "hunt & peck", does not lend itself to a speedy end. If the words are more "screwed-up", than normal, I have been outside, covering all the exposed areas where the awning was protecting. It has raind for the last two days, and lots of it in the area, butI awoke at 7 AM, and it had stopped. I covered the areas left open, and exposed, so now "Let it rain"! You have been gone, so check the "weather, etc, and look for the windy topic. There are photos of the damage. Nice to see you back!
