I can't decide either way. This is a 1990 D, and none of the countless others I have show this below the ear lobe.

Any ideas? Is this anything at all, or just a gouge or something else?

Would really appreciate any help. Thanks.

BTW. How do I attach the photo to the post instead of just the link?

DJ,
This looks to be post mint damage to the ear but lets see what others have to say about it

Maybe there is an easier way to do it but I opened your URL, right clicked on the photo and opened properties. I copied the URL address given in properties then paisted it to the post. I then had to type after the address. You may have access to a shorter route through your photo storage site. Whew!!!!

If you have any trouble, holler, and I'll tell you how I go about it. I like the easy ones!

Looks like simple coin damage to me. Nothing there indicates to me that it's a doubled die.
