I couldn't believe it when i saw this coin and I scanned the rev. and then laid it over here on my desk and then I realized OMG i got it mixed up so I went through every coin i had here twice,no good! third time i thought? hey I'll use my big magnifier and maybe i can spot it then, after i flipped all my coins over....so this takes me another good 2 hrs.Oh Thank God i found it.....or so i thought? and when i flipped it over to look at the obverse for the 1st time....somebody had destroyed it!
But I wanted to show it off atleast......LoL

Well,Then i'd sure feel better but there's not a flaw or scratch on it anywhere other than the date and a knife scrape maybe only on the obv and it is a satiny gold color and the colums are just drizzled in pure thick liquid gold color that swirls like a barber poll when you look at it so i thought it was actually nice..lol maybe more but as i said before I am a newbie altogether so it caught my eye instantly...it may have been circulated but it shows nowhere on it at all!!!
The u actually has an extra side too!!
If the coin had been worn i would've certainly thrown it in the no good bucket!
I use my scanner for pix and they all show up as older coin's and i don't know how to make better ones yet!!

I see that swirled look on the columns, can't be sure from the pics but I thought it might be damage or light scrapes that made the pattern. Maybe the gold color is fresh copper that the light scrapes uncovered?

Looks like a fresh unc cent that fell on the ground.

Sounds like some toning involved but I don't believe I have ever heard of it described in quite that way before. You do have a way with words.

I never could get a scanner to do justice to a coin image.

In no way was I trying to be disrespectfull in your description of your coin. I found it a bit poetic.
Here is a link that may help some on the terminology.

Oh no Steven ,I never once took it that way either, believe me.....I'm just saying I'm 100% pure hillbilly country sorta...so if you read my messages often you'll surely have quite a few more impression's.LoL I've alway's been told i tell a tale like no other but it's still alway's 100% true!! Though to other's it may seem i'm a little on the nutty side but life's never boring!!
Please don't think i thought that! You'll learn one thing,it takes a whole lot to get me upset.lol
actually i get more upset at things i do before what anyone else does.lol
I was born without knowledge and i learned how to get here so i guess I'm still trying to learn,I just have a very different language than most!
Oh the stories my friend's could tell!
But really no way,I just hope you didn't think you really upset me..gosh no!! Laughing
