opinions on this buffalo wanted

so i bought this at a tiny auction in a tiny 1 horse town around where i live, its graded by ANACS F-12 1937-D 5¢ and i only paid a dollar for it but check out the date and liberty, i think someone was hoping for a nice double die..... anyone ever seen something like this before?

Yup, just machine doubling.

To be quite honest, you can buy those unslabbed just like that one for a quarter or less. 1934-1937 are VERY common in F12 out of bargain boxes at prices often less than 50 cents. Having it in a slab means nothing, really, except the fool who had it slabbed paid 10-20 times the value of the coin to have it holdered.
